9 Weights

9.1 G0x: Permitted loads

Permitted loads are determined by:

  1. Law
  2. Technics
  3. Distribution

The mentioned permitted loads in G0x, G1x, G2x, G3x, G4x can diverge. The values G0x until G3x are to compare, for a vehicle the lowest value is valid. G4x is excluded from this rule.

G09

=

Permitted total weight

Is defined by lawgiver or by vehicle's manufacturer. The definition is made e.g. in Germany after § 34 StVZO. Values can diverge in other countries. The sum of the permitted axle loads G01...G06 is mostly higher than the permitted total weight G09, so that a permitted centre of gravity area for bodies results.

9.2 G1x: Technical permitted loads for standard eqipment corr. GFZ Nr.

Because of the technical construction of a vehicle the maximum values are defined by the respective construction department. There can be mentioned different values on part of construction, the lower value is valid. Thus e.g. the indication of the brake construction can differ from that of the chassis construction.

9.6 G5x: Weighed weights, load capacities, payloads

G50

=

chassis weight with cab

Weight of the complete chassis incl.

1 driver

tools

filled fuel tank and AdBlue-Tank
(Volume according to standard specification)

Not considered are special equipment and the allocation of further seats.
Case of swap bodies, the weight of the support frame is not included in the chassis weight.

G51

=

Chassis weight in the front

Proportional weight of G50 = "Chassis weight with cab" to the theoretical front axle centre, definition see Measures and weights.

G52

=

Chassis weight behind

Proportional weight of G50 = "chassis weight with cab" to the theoretical rear axle centre, definition see Measures and weights.

G53

=

Load capacity/vertical load

Chassis load capacity originating from G09 = "Permitted total weight" under consideration of G50 = "Chassis weight with cab".

For tractor-trailers the vertical load is indicated without consideration of the fifth-wheel. Reasons see H22 = "Fifth-wheel height without coupling unloaded".

G54

=

Unloaded weight with body

Weights of the empty standard vehicle under consideration of the equipment as G53 = "Load capacity/vertical load" and G56 = "Weight of the body".

G55

=

Net payload

Remaining payload under consideration of G09 = "Permitted total weight" and G54 = "Unloaded weight with body". Is only calculated, if G56 = "Weight of the body" is available.

G56

=

Weight of the body

Dead weight resp. total weight of the body incl. all components, which provide for installation and operation, e.g. subframe and attachment components.

9.7 G6x: Trailing loads, gross train weight, trailer noseweights

G60

=

Permitted gross train weight

Is defined by the lawgiver or vehicle manufacturer. The definition e.g. in Germany is made based on 34 StVZO. The values can diverge in other countries.
